grogee Posted July 21, 2023 Author Posted July 21, 2023 It's back. Nothing to report other than a new warning light to join the airbag party. It can't be a serious one as it runs just fine. There was a brief moment where I thought I smelled burning rubber but it might have been a farmer burning tyres in his field. Talking of the countryside, this is the first time I've driven a soft top for years. It's amazing just how much of the countryside smells like raw faeces. I'd estimate 20% of the journey was pure rank smell. Also, I am not immune from hay fever just because I'm driving a premium* convertible classic*. Absolutely hellish journey with start stop bollocks most of the way. My theory was that all the end of term twats would be heading in the opposite direction, but it seems I was wrong. sporty-shite Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Can definitely say Diggerland is a great day out. Nice Escort, too.

I can thoroughly recommend Diggerland during term time. Yes I know it's verboten but genuinely what a great day, no queues and easy to get around. Master Grogee learned more yesterday than in a whole term of Year 4. Shout out to Diggerland for providing a picnic area instead of insisting on 'no outside food' and charging arm+leg for food. sporty-shite 1
Rightnider Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 The Escort burred walnut dash is fantastic. Craftsmanship* at its best, and I guess it was all down to Ford owning Jaguar at the time. grogee 1
grogee Posted July 22, 2023 Author Posted July 22, 2023 I noticed they do adult group visits, team-building and stag dos I guess. To be honest, trundling round on a little digger at 1/4 walking pace gets a bit tedious after 10 meters. Tenmil Socket 1
