Yup, I'm going to set the stall out again.

 

With all the retail induced family events now in the shitter, and the weather improving concurrently, I hope I'm giving enough notice for this one. I just hope it doesn't clash too much with the Wakefield meet. I would really like for Dave and D_HIRST to make the trip down, as I haven't seen the E30 wagon or the taxi in the flesh yet.

 

I'll be cross posting this on No Skool Just Cool as well, and then Retro Rides.

 

The time is 1PM, and the date is April 11 2010.

 

Normally what we do is chat shit for bit, ignore the stares from the baffled locals in the flats facing, stare at the surrounding scenery for a bit (we're on the 8th floor) and watch Pete flick his tab ash from 100 ft up. We then decamp to the local chain flea pit for one so that we can get some feeling back in our feet.

I've put about a billion hours overtime in this week, so much that the word on the grapevine suggests I may well be 'off' tomorrow... my overtime isn't cheap, so they tend to pay me my weeks wage and give me a day off (and a few hours overtime) instead, handy when I need to get the Rover starter off and rebuilt tomorrow.So, all going well, there should still be a loud gurgly rumble at the Q park on Sunday.

Didn't manage to get the day off, but I've brought the SD1 back to life. Starter is now working, but the alternator almost definately isn't. Dammit.Anyway, should have it alive and well by Sunday.
