Rightio fellow shitters i need your help !My old man had an op' some time ago for a slipped disk and now his back has gone (Again !)So we need to find him a big cumfy cruiser with an Autobox.I ask your help because he can't go out there and try every car, as it would just kill him. Plus im sure you guys know what is nice and comfy.requirements are :AutoboxGood MPG (Diesel ?)Comfortable Leather + Lumber support Big BootPower Steering-For Around £2,000 to £3,000 -Sorry if this is not Autoshites thing ... if so i will remove it.Once we've found a decent car the Audi will be up for sale if anyone is interested. (Only selling it as he needs lumber support)Thanks :)

I thought of Mercedes E330 Diesel. But alot of them have started to rust quite badly (for a "new" car)which i find really weird

Tricky. Can you get a Honda diesel for that kind of cash? I found the Mondeo quite comfortable too for a new car.Neither are as smooth as our Volvo S80 but I think the diesel versions have a few issues with reliability. Petrol doesn't get more than 35mpg even if you drive with an egg under the accelerator.

Not Vectra.+1 on Omega though.Volvo V70?

If you want to simulate how his dad feels, try driving my whizzkid for a couple of weeks. I can pinpoint the reason why I can't even get out of bed due to a pain in my back (that I've never had before) squarely at that diminutive blue bastard.

Thanks Guys -keep the good ideas coming-I have been talking to Ye' Old Man, and he mentioned "If i am never able to drive again, do something with the Audi"Which is real sad, but i'm hoping he won't give up :)I like the Elite, we looked at an omega (pov spec) a year back, and he liked it. But we didn't get it due to an array of work needed. (ooh and a wonky wheel)Thanks again :)

haha, AlberRoss a very good idea.I think we are going to give it a week (Him not driving for a week) and see if his back is any better. He needs another MRI scan. And then the question shall be answered "Are you able to drive ?"But for now i'm trying to get a nice list of comfortable carsAnd talk him into buying one. That way if he decides he aint gonna stop, then he has a comfy cruiser. If not then i have the orders to "Do something with it", which is either keep it or sell it. But would obviously sell due to already having 2 cars.
