Film project, early days.......

Was talking to a good mate of mine and he's written a script for a TV drama or series pilot along the lines of The Sweeney. He's trying to get Longcross Ex MOD (now called Qinetiq) as a location, as there is a good private road layout and a lot of filming goes on there. It's not far from Guildford so West of London off the early part of the M3. It will be set in the mid early to 1980s, and there's a blagging planned so guess who will be supplying the bullion van?Would anybody be interested in being in on this, with their shite? Now, I don't normally do this, but as it's speculative the best I/we could offer is expenses like petrol money, so if you are not local ish maybe it's not for you. There's no shoot date as yet, but it could well be a week end as there will be less going on then. Any interest?

I'm always interested in this sort of thing! I'll put my Bluebird up as it looks almost brand new, and it is completely standard.

Why not? Could offer transport instead of petrol if you can't drive. The site is technically private land, so you could do some drive bys.....

My Wartburg's available for this (and weddings, bah mitzvas, conference events.... etc) and has done a limited amount of film work in the past; watch out for "The Debt" due out this spring..Also have my daughter's Rover Mini (they've looked basically the same for 50 years!) and I'm sure the recently recovered Yugo could be persuaded to make an appearance.

I am. The car is in Gwynedd. I could do it for a couple of days, it would be a laugh.

Well it would be nice to have something older, does it look it's age in say 1984?

Well, depending on when the shoot happens and if I can get the time off work you SHOULD have a choice of

81 Crayford convertable

73 P100

76 Olds Cutlass

73 Cortina 4 door

88 Onion

92 Sierra Saphire

OK.... I know the Saphire and the Onion are post 85 but were similiar to the 85 /86 models
