'Your papers please, ma'am'. A very small FIAT 850 Spider, or a very large policeman.

BTW Do you know where Dunkin' Donuts is?

We're on the Spanish/French border looking from Puigcerda on the Spanish side to Bourg Madame on the French side.

A Porsche 912 Japanese Police Patrol Car, used between 1968 and 1974. In fact four Porsche 912s were imported for work in different prefectures. The car was equipped with a modified 1.6-litre engine from the Porsche 356; it was excellent for patrolling motorways.

The cars were standard in technical terms, with the exception of additional lights, sirens, walkie-talkies and other paraphernalia.  Over the six years of operation, the cars covered more than 150,000 kilometres each, participated in several impressive chases, but by the beginning of the 1970s they had exhausted their service life. More and more time and money was required for maintenance, the criminals cars became faster and faster, and the global fuel crisis finally put an end to Porsche’s career.

One survives!

Strangely it was a left hooker. Did they make RHD 912s?

Wesley from Last Of The Summer Wine also looked similar!

The man being arrested was driving an early Fiat Strada, already a bit rare in 1988 due to the high rust rate.

Yes , Fred ( and Wesley for that matter) only drove Land Rovers as far as I can remember.
