Apparently he lives in the Wirral area (CH41) and is getting his just desserts for ripping people off by taking their money and not sending them the parts they ordered of him.Feel sorry for his gf though. All that humiliation!!!

^^ I think it's buried somewhere in the Corsa Sport link, but I can't face wading through it again.

His name is Jamie according to the others on the Corsa forum.

I know a lad called Adam from the CorsaSport forum who lives on the Wirral but to be fair he's a cracking lad and not the sort to rip anyone off.

Mother Claim has now decided that a small petrol engined 306 is a good idea! She has seen a Meridian with half leather and quite likes it. Anything to look for on inspection? I have had a couple of 306 dizzlers before but don't know much about the petrol models.

I rate the TU 1360cc engine - in the BX (carb) it feels faster than you might think and the example I drove was rev happy and made a nice rorty sound.I've heard that the ZX 1.4i has an idle speed stepper motor and this can be trouble - so I can imagine the 306 is similarly equipped.Mark.

Heater matrix is a common problem on 306s, every one I have been involved with has leaked! Make sure all the electric goodies work especially the central locking. They can have a habit of not working at all, locking or unlocking by themselves at random times. This is a well known fault with the wiring loom going to the driver's door.I am currently looking for one of these beasts for no.1 son or poss a 1.4 Xsarapug306.net is your friend

Frenchcarforum is also very good for technical advice.A colleague has a V-reg 306 1.4 Meridian, about 100k on it now. It's not been super-reliable in the five years he's had it, but he's not hands-on with the spanners so that may be part of the reason. It's needed a new clutch and the main earth lead frayed, causing mucho electrical malady. That said, I've been chauffered in it a couple of times and it doesn't feel drastically underpowered at all.I'd also be looking under the D-pillar trims below where the rear seatbelt top mounts are, as despite Peugeot's reputation for rust resistance there have been a few examples of the later 306s that have gone very rotten around there.
