I thought I would share with you some some of my crap that ive collected over the past 5 years or so. I see that there is already a post for models and books but I thought I would display the whole lot in all its glory complete with sales literature, posters and other crap most would consider junk. Most relates to the 70s and 80s British car industry, but I like to think there is something for every autoshite fan. Since discovering this site a few months ago I have renamed this section of the room.....

So Say hello to Autoshite corner....

It was pretty much because of all that kind of stuff we ended up buying a house with a 35x14' shed/workshop at the end of the garden, and a big double garage. Strangely, when I wasn't initially over-struck on the house when we first viewed it, it was Mrs SL having to remind me about the shed and its possibilities that swayed me...

The big picture in our lounge is this:

Original drawing of the gearbox casing for a just post war MG. All the dimensions are metric and it says it "traced from an original dated 1937" so the design is likely a wartime acquisition.

I keep an eye out for old drawings. Here's some others from Park Ward.

The front views are of presumably proposed Alvis grill/light treatments that were not used. The dash layout (dated 1958) and interior cutaway are also Alvis.

A corner of the lounge has this cabinet with some of my custom plastic kits and also my Felix Petrol commision I got for a significant birthday.

A couple of Roth kits in the bedroom (Beatnik Bandit is original '60s)

A pile of books awaiting more shelf space.

Pictures etc above my work bench.

The Breedlove 500+ is an LP of news footage from his attempts at the LSR in '64 resulting in his crash, including the famous "for my next trick..." quote. Its incredible to listen to it all "live" as it were.

In the shed I've got a couple of shelves of "stuff" some of it might one day be useful

The Dukhams antifreeze can was being thrown away at the local dump so I asked the lady if I could have it! All red US market Herald lenses came from rmad on R-R. The old spanners are from a box full I kept when clearing my grandads garage after he dies years ago. This is my favourite.

Bought on honeymoon from NZ, so it was sanctioned as I said it'd remind me of that! Plus I think she secretly likes it too. Granted though, it's not dealer or design drawing but hope it isn't breaking any rules :(

Mine FT? No, Just the way it looks in the photo. The front door frame is much wider than the internal cabinet bit. Ikea bargain basement circa 1999 with a bunch of aerospace rivets holding the shelves up. GUess what job I was in at the time  That's a really cool picture cav-e. 8)
