They do. I have a pair but one/both may now be oval. :? Had winter tyres on for the Hillman.

My old Mk1 Mondeo had 'em on, they sat in the garden for ages after I bought some ST220 wheels. Couldn't shift 'em for toffee. Lucky really since I flogged the wheels on for more than the car when the clutch went, and it needed some steels to be hauled onto the WAGON-O-DEATH.

My Scorpio had 4-studded 15" steelies, because the alloys were too expensive to shod.

Do you not go to the local part worn tyre emporium? I got a full set of 225/50/16s for my old Scorp for £60. Fitted.

Do you need tyres? I've got a full set of the rims you require, in Lincs mind...

Nah I didn't! They usually charge about £20 a tyre.

Sounds about right, I used to pay £15 for real partworns, or sometimes my guy would have some as-new-but-used tyres, typically when some flash git with a brand new car gets a wheel upgrade. Even had the rubber moulding tags on usually. He'd try to stretch me to £25 for those.New place has opened up near me doing 13" for £5, 14" and 15" for £10, 16" for £15. Not bad for older stuff, the price of 13" tyres new seems to be going UP as demand shrivels, everything seems to be on 14s minimum out of a dealer now.

Where in Lincs Mike? If whitevanman expresses zero interest I might pop over for some of them!! Suit my Sapphire perfectly. What's the offset?I used to run Pug 406 steels on my last Mk1 Sierra Estate with 225/50/V15 on them. Cornered like it was on rails, stuck to the road like shit to a blanket! Even with a few toolboxes, and engine crane, a Land Rover engine in the boot etc etc etc........ I really must get this Sapphire on the road.

The wheels are at Thornton Abbey, near Immingham. Not sure of offset, theyre on my sis in laws old Mondeo 1.8, so i imagine around 35? The tyres on them are 195 65 15's but theyre shot so they'll be getting removed...

What size tyres would you need, i might be able to sort something. Time constraints arent a problem! :)

Is that recent, my local charges about 20 quid a tyre, I like going their but they're incompetent and at least one is always a slow puncture.

Dunc, as im down at the weekend anyway, I can pop into upullit and get you a set with useable rubber if you want. Everything in their spares section seems to cost next to bugger all so I cant imagine it would set you back much.
