I'd complain and ask for a retest.......

But they have a point.

Great news re the 75. Has it been behaving itself.?

Been good as gold. Only thing I've done is glue the gear knob down as it was all over the place which was rather irritating. Other than that no complaints, it will be replacing the jag for daily duties until all the fuel nonsense has calmed down

Over the coming days after the MOT the front offside caliper was starting to stick pretty badly. Too the point it was smoking after a few mile drive. Got myself to a breaker and got a second hand one and put it on today. Seems much better and got some pads with the caliper thankfully as the old ones were pretty shagged from the binding. Got a little bleeding kit from halfruads. Did a good job to be fair for £7 or whatever it was.20220318_112811.thumb.jpg.353737385a1b58f40c6f564c56ee4ce9.jpg20220318_112819.thumb.jpg.84fe57d157df031fcafcc2f1899139ab.jpg20220318_115430.thumb.jpg.527ddb1b6b8c0c9a2a92887feecf2062.jpg

What witchcraft is this? Is there a non return valve on the end of the bleeder? What stops air from being sucked back in?

Exactly. Great for people with no friends!

Ahh 75 calipers. Some hot 7mm Allen key action going on there no doubt.

They are a service item on 75s. For about £60 exchange, I just fitted new ones.

Ahh wish I new I could of got a new one for £60... Paid £35 but atleast I got some pads and drives much nicer now. Those 7mms are a pain though. I only have a 1/4inch set with that fitting so was worried I was gonna snap it. Bit of penetrative fluid and it came good though.

A 7mm bit is about a fiver from ebay, my Saab uses them too 👍

I was using mine today. On the rear brake calipers, the spring/shock gets in the way of access for a socket Allen driver so you have to use a key.

Not sure how the bods in the workshop are getting their torque wrench on there, but a plain key is fine for us shiters.
