Rear discs done on the Merc, looks way better.

Issue is I need to do the drums now. So much busy with little bits that I've decided to put the Merc away for now.

Will see if I can buy it some new bits for when it comes up and finally get It ready for a MOT! It needs:

Two rear wheels as they do rub (I need 17" 225 ones rather then the 245bir currently has.

Rear drum kit.

Possibly rear calipers.

One tiny bit of welding to the corner of the boot floor.

Interior rear view mirror.

Under sealing and cavity wax.

Hopefully that will get it sorted and ready for a while! In the meantime time I've gotten some Toyota bits. Swapped out the blank panel on the dash for a cubby hole:

Need to file it down but looks a bit more international. Finally got the badges for the boot:

I was only brave enough for the boot as it has pegs it slots into. Need to get the others fitted. At least I have a guide.

After like three weeks I finally got the pump for the seat and fitted it, shame we can't drive it as the wheels are off being done now.

So nice to put all the parts in the cleaner and get everything looking brand new.

In other news I got some bits from Japan. A new boot closing handle. Only £5 from Japan but like £30 in the UK. Probably because it's fitted too the IS200/300 MK1.

The next issue is the wipers. It came with weird JDM screw wiper arms so I looked at the catalog and it has a option for hook wipers. It was only £60 and the paint were flaking off mine so I ordered them. The look good.

Funny thing is I don't have the hook wipers! So waiting on those to fit it all. Thankfully I remembered cover caps as they were cheap.

I also have a new left rear lock solenoid as mine has given up, it was £100 but that's new from Toyota.

It's nice to have a car where all the parts are available for once.

Thinking about getting a bike upgrade for the summer, pretty bad time to get one. Tempted to get a Fazer or a bandit 600 from around 2000.

Spent some time and money getting the GPZ500S not ready which involved stopping it leaking fuel from the tank and carbs. Really I should just ride that all summer and upgrade when it gets cold for best value.

Got the GPZ500S Through a MOT!

Needed some more bits to tweak but got through with a couple advisories! Very happy.

The Toyota had a new door lock and cables above for the rear left door. £120 all in from Toyota.

Took the door card off again.

And out with the old:

Don't worry, I was far more careful with the new one to fit it without breaking the white housing.

All works as it should now all four doors open and close on the locks.

This little unit was the problem. I assume a little solenoid or gear has broken inside it.

Just nice to get It back to the point where everything works again. First thing I've had fail on the car really.

Also fitted the new front wiper arms and wipers. Nice to have fresh blades for the first time in years and blades I can now just buy in any shop.

Kawasaki had a advisory for the rear brake pedal being bent and a nice one came up on eBay for cheap.

Finally a nice easy job to fit it:

Probably time to sell the GPZ and get something a bit different. I have my eye on a vfr750 at the moment but who knows.
