oxb1l Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Car sounds awesome 👌 My mum's old Fury and her 64 Comet Caliente back when I was a kid. My dads Victor estate. Probably all washing machines by now. Datsuncog, RayMK, danthecapriman and 3 others 6
PhilA Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 Just ordered the brake master distribution block, next up need to get some fittings and brake pipe. I do have flexis for this somewhere, but no telling if they're correct. Â Phil

PhilA Posted December 18, 2023 Author Posted December 18, 2023 Beat this to shape and welded it in. Figured I needed to get back to some bodywork. Â Phil GrumpiusMaximus, LightBulbFun, RayMK and 6 others 9
PhilA Posted December 27, 2023 Author Posted December 27, 2023 Didn't do much other than wrangle a broken light bulb out of a rusty socket today. Ain't much but it needed doingÂ
PhilA Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 Bought some pieces. Brake pipe one of seven. Â Phil Ghosty, LightBulbFun, danthecapriman and 4 others 7
PhilA Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 Added another. All just hand tools. The die bender has been particularly useful. Those should be the most complex shapes now; the rest are all just big long straight runs. Phil Dyslexic Viking, mercedade, RayMK and 8 others 11
PhilA Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 Hard freeze coming. No antifreeze in the Plymouth. Winterizing in progress... Done. Can't freeze if there's nothing in it. Â Phil djim, Dyslexic Viking, danthecapriman and 4 others 7

Didn't crack the block fortunately. Put antifreeze in after that.

Tonight we shouldn't see too much but tomorrow night is supposed to be windy and cold, that's going to be the problem. Â Phil
PhilA Posted January 23, 2024 Author Posted January 23, 2024 Ran it to boiling with dishwashing soap in. Drained, flushed. Worked very well. Need to get some proper antifreeze now. Â Phil JMotor, RayMK, mercedade and 2 others 5
PhilA Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 Green juice! That'll hopefully stunt the formation of new corrosion. Â Phil RayMK, JMotor, Mally and 6 others 9
PhilA Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 Well, where were we? Â Oh yes. All the coolant fell out because it cleaned some rust away which was all that was left of a core plug. I bought a core plug set. Need to pull the engine out to fit those. At the same time I might get a seal set for the gearbox. Also welded up a couple holes in the trunk. Not much else to report.
