Jeez, gruesome. Thats why they put those collapsible end barriers up over here now. Those old ones are only any use for a side impact, hit the end and you are toast.

He must've really hit that to have that happen! Don't think he'll be driving fast for a very long time after that! I'd thought there would be more blood than what was on the barrier though.

Yowsers.I know a chap who did something similar in an Audi A3 in Ireland, but the barrier went through the middle of the car - rather than through him. He was unmarked, but very very shaken up.Don't think it really matters what you're driving, if you hit something very stationary at say 50 mph then you're not going to come out of it well, but at least in most of our old shite there's an engine in the front to deflect things a bit.Hitting a barrier at that angle is not recommended!
