Old Austin/Rover/Land Rover shite

Just found these whilst browsing Flickr, Not much information with them but I'm guessing they must have been taken recently at Gaydon.

Seems a sad shame that they all now are sitting outside in the elements.

 Bloody hell.Surely the motor museum could get a few grand together to at least build a shelter of some sort for 'em.Top pictures though, ta.

Calm down geezers,I know exactly where these are, they are a private collection owned by a bloke who has been involved with LRs for a long time and writes under a alias for one of the magazines.

verytallbrad?

I thought he was a mortgage broker?

Early Metro and early RR would top my list. What an awesome Autoshite collection!

Surely it doesn't matter who owns them, or whether they're a 'collector' or whatever. They're obviously doing nothing with them and they're just left outside on grass to deteriorate.

agree with gary, its a real shame to be sat outside getting more and more fucked, nice bit of british motoring history there 8)

Oh I totally agree, it's criminal, I just wanted to confirm they aren't at Gaydon!

Metros seem very solid, shame they are parked on the grass and left to rot.(Although I'm sure theres at least one person here who won't agree  )

Its clear to see that the collector has lost his way when the passions of his life (the cars) are evidently deteriorating whilst in his care. It is now that he needs to think whats best for him and the future of the vehicles.I intend to move some of my cars on in the near future too, as I'm aware that I cannot look after them in the way I'd like to due to increasing time constraints... causing me despair and the cars neglect. My cars are of little historical interest however and all are fortunately undercover that preserves them a bit.It might be beneficial for the collector to view this thread so he can consider his situation more subjectively.

It would seem that he has over 100 cars and this is just a very small part of them, I wonder what the other cars are?, There's also this 1958 Road Rover in there as well.

Pretty much all LR/BL/AR etc I think. He did/does run a garage as well as the family farm.

I thought the Road Rover was a one off? I distinctly remember this being on display in Gaydon for a while. And there was a tracked LR like that in Gaydon as well, but I imagine there's more than one of those.

That J707 SAC 827 is definitely a pre-production car. That long grass cannot be doing it any good. Shame.

Nope, more than one Road Rover. Bit of background HERE
