Hi Guys,I went to see this Ford Capri 1.6 laser today and tried to get as many photos of the car as i could . . The old lady that owns this car absolutely adores this car and has owned it for most of its lifeThe car has covered 80,000 ish and is mot'd until mid next month and taxed until febuary next yearMechanically the car is very good and the lady has always had anything done it needed Bodywise i would say she now needs some tlc,i think it would probably get through another mot with maybe a little plate on the front of the floor pan (please look at photos)I had thought about buying it myself but i don't have the money to buy it or do it upThe lady is looking at around £500 for the car which i feel maybe slightly higher than i expected she would want for it but i am sure negotiations could be arranged with her as long it was not a silly price as even though it needs a little work it is her pride and joyShe has to sell it now because she is struggling to drive it and being slightly bullied by her daughter to have a sensible car plus she doesn't have the money to have it done upAlthough it needs work it is still too good to scrapColour is metallic greyIf you have any questions please feel free to ask,if i don't know i can ask her for you or pass her number to youThe car is located in woodingdean between Brighton and peacehaven on the south coastIt needs saving guys!!cheersRichie

It's the numberplate - KKK, the Ku Klux Klan. However, in an automotive sense, it should be Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch, the turbo manufacturers.

What makes me laugh is the thought of a old granny driving a old Capri, You can even see her walking stick in the back!.There use to be a B reg 1.6 Laser in Colchester that use to belong to a old lady, I noticed the other month that there's now a Fiesta parked in it's parking space so sadly i think she's sold it.

Yeah its quite funny she loves sporty looking cars !This was the second capri she had but she must be in her 70's and she is a bit of a petrol head tooShe has a 1928 Austin light 6 in her garage ,that needs full restoration but its a family Heir loomShe is such a lovely lady though and i feel bad that next week i am going to have to tell her i am not going to take the Capri on but i just don't have the money ,so i am hoping i might get some interest on here failing that i will help her Ebay it cheersRichie

Well I am glad it's gone to a good home. Heard of a dark red one myself that might be coming up. Might go for that. TBH I am not a fan of metallics, too hard to keep looking nice without garaging.

I'd like a 1.6 Laser myself... but I can't see it happening because my other half hates Capris......My grandparents had a lovely A reg 2.0 Laser in Metallic green, used to cram Mum and us three kids in the back of it on trips out!! Which made any speed bumps quite interesting! Mark.

I like my Capri, but it needs a bit of work really now.not sure whether to sell it in the new year and get another retro instead, or hang onto it and throw some cash at it.

I went out with a girl over the summer who hated my Capri and refused to get in it!that was fine by me as I hated her Tigra just as much!

Yeah i can understand what you guys mean ,metallics can be hard to look afterThe ladys daughter was making her get rid of it and has got her an Almera,which is a bit easier for her to drive as i remember when she parked outside my shop she nearly had heart failure with that heavy steering bless her lolI do feel she was a little out on the price orginally at £500 but at least it has been rehomedMnde i recognise your picture,you just made me remember how much i am missing my Gsa Pallas SE which is up at Robs at Chevronics,i really want it back!! lolcheersRichie
