Does anyone have any info / access to info for one of these here Nissan Stagea's?

I spied it right at the end of the auction and have contacted the seller - who does not want silly money.

See the idea of what is basically a Skyline that you can scare your kids / dogs in is fantastically tempting. Sure they are a bit fugly, what with the incompatibilty of the last two pillar angles, and naff interiors, but if they are really fierce that can be forgiven.

What sort of performance / economy would one of these give? And at what cost? I know that the whole 'pikey grey import' thing is a minefield, so any advice gratefully accepted!

All I know is, they look a hell of a lot better with a Skyline front end on.

Like that?

It's a good look, especially if bearing down upon peasants in Perodua Nippa's who have inadvertantly ventured into lane 3....

Yeah like that. It even beats the Mitsi Galant Estate for sheer "MOVE! MOVE NOW OR I CRUSH YOU!!"ness.Obviously I have no useful information to add. That's not what Pillock does.

A chap at work has one of these with the wasp chewing front end. He drives like a utter mong mind but he seems qual enough. He works strange hours but if I can catch him I'll ask him a few questions.

I'm tempted by the thought of one at some point in the future, better sooner than later I'd have thought though while there's still enough R32/R33/R34 Skylines around to warrant people selling bits here.I suspect economy isn't good.

There was an article in PPC a few months ago about owning and running one....I'll dig it out when I get home from work tonight.

Don't know much about them, but they are highly regarded here.

So that was you???? lmao.Is my 85mph top speed not enough for you? Seriously though, I will hold my ground in the face of any BMW, Audi, Saab etc - but I'd be cacking myself if that was behind!

For your amusement a couple of pics of my Stagea RS4.... it's been my daily driver for over 7 months :D

20-22 on a run and "mumble mumble, don't ask" around town.

Cheap service bits as it's 90% R33/R34 Skyline underneath so OE spec. ADL/Blueprint bits go on mine.

Sounds and goes like a Skyline and the RS4 has a GTR derived 4WD set-up so with some decent upgrades in the suspension/brake department it can be thrown about like something half it's size......

I think they make more shite sense than a Skyline!

Have you also considered the Subaru Legacy B4? They are very nice looking cars, esp in white, and have a lightning bolt on the badge. :)

The older ones got for a couple of grand:

plus 1 for the legacy, and about the same fuel consumption as well.Looking for a sporty jap estate are we pog?

I looked at the Legacy and the Legnum VR4 too but settled on the Stagea simply because it's everything I wanted from a Skyline without having the image problem and research showed it would probably be the most reliable long term proposition. There's so much about it that is so very wrong, it looks like a "we never actually met" team effort design wise with an interior out of an early 90's Toyota, it's bigger than most parking spaces and should have a brown paper bag around it's fuel tank........but I forgive it anything.

Was going to ask the same thing...is it like Staggy or Stadgy?? :?:?: Got pics of a nice one in...err....silver...surprisingly enough, on a visit to Bodiam castle in East Sussex a month or so back.

Owners pronounce it "Stage a" but I get used to it being people called a "Stag ear " " Stadg ear" or "Stage ear" whereas in Japan it's a "Sway-jar"At shows it gets called "some kind of Volvo" or "it's made by Volvo for Nissan" hence the owner's forum motto "It's NOT a bloody Volvo" "Skyline Estate" is sometimes uttered by the younger generation as apparently there is a red one on the "GT4" game.......Some Skyline owners call them "lardy-arsed estate cars" , usually those owning a N/A one that can't keep up.My wife says there is no point to it whatsoever...... but usually finds an excuse to use it at least one day a week. It's big, ugly, loud and thirsty, perfect reasons in my mind for owning one and using it everyday.
