Where are your images hosted??

Hmm, Flikr can be trick. I am not a flickr user myself, but I know it can give issues.

Is there something like jv=0 at the end of the URL? If so, sack that bit off so it's just http://flikr.yourpic.jpg

I think that's how it works.

Flickr can be a bit of a pain and it depends on how you opted for the pics to be shared etc. You may need to host here via http://photobucket.com/

P.S Looked on flickr you have some good pics :D

Is flickr really a pain for hotlinking?I don't find it that much of a bother.

Go to the flickr page for your picture.

Click 'all sizes' at the top, and choose the appropriate size for the forum, i.e. one that fits on your screen. 500x700 or thereabouts is good.

Scroll down and it'll give you a couple of boxes. The first will start - that's for putting in your own website so ignore it. The one you want starts http:// - copy the contents of that box by selecting it all, right-clicking on the selected text, and choose copy.

Then reply to this, and on the row of buttons press the Img button.

should appear.

Directly after, paste your image location either by pressing Ctrl-V or right-clicking and selecting paste. There should be no space, so it should now read http://farm2.static.flickr.com............

Then hit Img button again and a will appear right after the .jpg at the end. Again, no spaces.

Click preview, it should work. If it doesn't, check there's no spaces between the and tags.

Just do yourself a favour, and open a free photobucket account. You upload it, and then copy the link that starts with [img ] and that's it.

Is this yours? I right clicked on the pic, clicked on 'Copy Image Location' and then put [ img] in front, and [ /img] at the end (just click the Img button at the top of the reply box, before and after the url). Seriously though, it's easier with photobucket.com as already said. On there you get the img codes complete with tags under each album pic, you just copy and paste them into the post.

just saw your flickr, you have some really good pictures on there!Well I used to have a photobucket account but i forgot the password. Its easy, but i think flickr looks smarter. They are pretty different though, Flickr is more than a photo hosting website, and I have learnt alot off that website.

The only time that's the case is when someone's ramped up the privacy settings to the extreme so when you click on the image it comes back with "spaceball.gif". I would say 99% of images aren't like that, though people who have old bus photos seem quite keen on using it. No idea why, it's not like I can't just press printscreen and "have" it.

or as a Firefox user, right click on the image 'remove this object' taking off the transparent spaceball image that sits atop the actual image & then right clicking again & doing the hell as I please with their image! :D Satisfaction is an add on called Nuke Anything Enhanced...
