It grew on me exponentially over the length of the drive. It felt rather cumbersome to begin with around the busy streets of Essex, but once we were out onto motorways and sweeping A roads it was fantastic. The suspension and seats are flump soft and combined with the lazy engine it made for a joyously relaxed cruise up north. It can almost go round corners too, if you prepare enough in advance and throw an anchor out to slow it down.

The tyres really don't do anything except keep the wheels off the tarmac. The grip is minimal against the weight of the old girl lurching into bends, but they do at least make a pleasing squeal going round roundabouts at anything above zero mph.

Overall, I loved it.

Anyway, time to relax after a long day.
