This why Rover dropped the 2.0v6 in favour of the 1.8k series turbo. Same power, less c02, many more  head gaskets.

If you went for the 1.8 K series you'd save 60 quid a year, if you went for the K series turbo you'd save £20 a year.

I dunno but my mate who knows about cars and that says my 2002 Rover 75 will be tax exempt in 2 years when it's officially classified as a historic vehicle. Once it is I'm going to fit black and white plates and run it on a mix of paraffin, lead replacement additive and redex as my mate (did I mention my mate who knows about cars) says that's what the law says you have to do once a car reaches 15 years old. Either that or scrap it.

I absolutely love these and this one is perfect, the green/grey colour scheme, the styling and a rorty Subaru engine, 4 wheel drive plus bags of space and a tow bar - what more could you possibly want?  Oh, and getting very cheap now too.

Yes, I know they like a drink and rust like...well, like a Subaru, but I don't think I would care one bit.

Potential budge bollox travel wagon?

Cheap, MOT'd, Blue leather, 2 litre auto, double thumbs in the picture and "Flywheel missing 3 teeth so if the car stops with the missing flywheel teeth directly in line with starter you need to turn the alternator round slightly to turn the engine. "

Shite written all over it.

A 2.8i Grandad is such a bloody good car, that most pplz are not able to even comprehend how good it is.

IMO it's one of the epitomes of automotive history and a formidable proof that if English and German engineers really do work together, China isn't needed.

Let the Germans do the engine and injection system stuff, and leave it to the English to do the refinement of the ride, the handling, and the seats. Then add a Yank gearbox. Them Yanks are daft, but man, can they make fine gearboxes.

Junkman that Grannies got a "stick shift". No slushmatic there.

I had a 2.3v6 Mk2 Grannie estate a few years ago and Samba's could easily have used to build a 4 birth caravanetter it's so huge in the back.
