@AlsoMike & Ben L: I'm not that fussed, that car was the most uncomfortable car I've ever driven thanks to the stupid later seats it was equipped with and I never clicked with it, the extra cash would've been nice but I think the BX I now have is a better car in every respect so I don't car it was sold for less than it should've when I parted with it. It's not like the beige (with brown vinyl roof) Mk2 Escort Dad somehow talked me out of buying for £50 as my first car when I was 16, I'm still bitter about that.

If anyone was genuinely interested in that Horizon, it's just round the corner from me so I'd be happy to check it out. I've seen it around and it certainly looks very clean. I can't see it being particularly improved by having its springs chopped - fingers crossed it gets a sympathetic new owner.
