Is the smaller VM diesel engine, as found in that Alfetta above, as shit as the 2.5 found in Jeeps of the '90s. Come 100,000 miles they would warp their heads and boil themselves.

I think I'm the resident VM diesel apologist but I've owned a couple of old and high mileage VMs, even boiled one and they were totally reliable

Looks like it was repainted a week ago, with Poundland emulsion paint.

 

"everything works as it should"

Unlike when it was new then. Vile things J4s. Hard to believe they were made for nearly ten years after the Transit was introduced.  Best as a static exhibit target.

To be fair, there's a photo on Flickr of it at a show in 2012 so the paint's not new.

 

The most extraordinary thing about J4s is that the business end (i.e. aft of the cab) was still doing service in the LDV Pilot until 2006, 46 years after it was launched.

Anyone need SPEARS for their BX?

I have a 1991 Citroen bx 1.9 tdg currently breaking all parts available, was going to be a restoration job but the shell is to far gone rusted, all parts available from lights, to interior,I have brand new discs and pads all round never used, also brand-new battery and oil filter, air filter please message for enquiries, see pictures of the shell, engine is in perfectly good working order. Can post smaller items out but bigger ones would be pick up only
