I think I was at that meet. At the end of the Demolition Derby it was just Sonic and Mario that were left running. Every time they hit each other the track was showered with gold rings and stars.

1999 Swaffham Earthshaker, IIRC. I was there, too.

Junkman, this is quite worrying, I think you might be me in some sort of parallel universe. I tried to buy one of these about 25 years ago, having spotted it being towed down Penarth Road, Cardiff, behind a Range Rover. (I believe it had been bought from the old film studio at Penhow) It turned up in Bridgend at a building salvage yard, I was very taken by the P100 lamps, twin side-mount spare wheels and the beautiful bevelled glass to the "loadspace". I lacked anywhere big enough to store it undercover, so had to make do with an Austin 2200 Landcrab hearse instead. I know it disappeared after a while to that England

Mine was a Woodall-Nicholson that found its way to Cavan, Eire, where I bought it straight from the undertaker, in 1999.

I did a bit of tarting up and hired it out to funeral directors for "themed" funerals.

The most memorable thing was driving it with pumpkins and stuff on the coffin deck up and down O'Connell Street on Halloween.

When I left Ireland, I sold it together with all my other hearses to a collector in Cork, who, as I was told,

did a proper refurbishment and still owns it.

I've been looking at Honda Insights for a fair while now. I'd love one, and now I have the 75 as a sensible* stay at home family car, I could ditch the company vehicle and run one to and from work. There are a couple of companies that import these suckers and it appears eBay have a new kid on the block...

They will be UK registered and new mot,s ready to go.

Ok, you've got my attention. Call me old fashioned however, but I do like a bit of professionalism, Mr... ?

Seller information

I tell you what, I'll let you know.

I'm trying to think of some reasons why I shouldn't bid on this. There's plenty of logical reasons why; no MOT, sat for a few years, minimal MPG, but LOOK AT IT.

don't blame me;)

I won't. It'd be much worse. If I win it, and it's a shit heap, I'll forge your signature on the V5 and dump it on your drive with the keys and a bill of sale in it.

:) wonder if the turbo would fit the cx..

Yeah, snap it up! This cannot be allowed to die yet - it looks too good. If it were a dizzler, I'd be on my way with notes in my sweaty hands already.

If it's a shit heap, keep quiet, fix the hose and roffle it....

Wrong fuel, right price. Absolute bargain this (assuming it checks out ok) for £200 with a full test.

GB sticker means it's had a hard life though and was probably owned by someone who took it abroad so it must be fucked.

I guess reverse gear will be, as the GB sticker should be on the back.

They are coming from a secret BMC bunker deep in the Arctic - part of Dr Evil's plans to topple nations by destabilising their car industries with cheap new cars. All are beige to match his suits - the HL's come with a white fluffy cat mascot.

Today's subject: Silver saloon tat within 10 miles.

Silver almost suits this: smart. Note bonus arty Nissan / LDV background.

"I have the original wheels and wheel trims......Has Hydrogen cell fitted."

Silver makes this blobby shape invisibly dull. At least it has a complete roof. Not exactly an exciting showcase for Honda Hybridness.

Not as boxy as the Nissan, but still a good shape. Prefer the vertical rear window of the 760 though. These are best in red. With no potato peeler thing on the bootlid. The correct number of cylinders.

These were originally for the us market and Japanese - where they prefer saloons. So the styling is more for US tastes. Only imported here in lowish numbers to have a token hybrid model in their line up. I guess engineering that engine into the EU civics would have been too much work for low volume of sales.
