Isuzu 1.7td, mated to a carlton 5 speed manual gearbox

 

There have been no body modifications to get this in, the crossmember had a very small piece cut out and reinforced but this is very minor.

 

No modifications to the body except for the modification to the body, got it. 

 

The car is still registered as a petrol automatic and will be upto the new owner to change this if they wish, although the 1.7 and 1.5 engines are identical to look at so depending on what you register it as, cheap tax is a possibility!

 

...said the DVLA.

Im fine, combination of long shift at work, taking my meds then not eating in time caused a hypo. That said that Rover does indeed float my boat.

 

Couple of bourbon biscuits and a glucose tablet and I was chipper again

Well now there's a fresh new face raising hell in the arena of terrible aftermarket indicators.

Also, those little indicators on the roof that make it look like mickey mouse? they are genuine period upgrades from lucas which are very rare and hard to come by. They come up as a point of interest at shows! 

 

Pretty cool! But still looks terrible!

Added the 19 to my watch list. Getting the Audi moved to another garage on the next few days to see if it can be fixed at all if its not at all possible I might have a punt on that. However I should really wait and get a modern when I get my no claims back in September. 

 

Am I right in remembering that these are an engine out job if the clutch is borked?
