Nope. Perhaps they did it to improve torsional stiffness. Best to be careful when dealing with the phenomenal power of a 435cc engine. (fairly late for that engine size!)

Never seen one of these before, Alfa 90 with the VM '4-headed monster' engine! Looks like its been sat for a while and the clutch is stuck seemingly. If you had 8" diameter plums you could just ask the seller to stick a new battery on it, turn up with a few hand tools, fire it up and attempt to free the clutch before driving it 600 miles home. Sadly my plums are approx 1/4" in diameter ruling me out.

Slight blistering on the chrome on the front grill. Wheel trims have some kerb marks. Windscreen has few chips and fogging on the sides but well within mot standards. Electric aerial intermittent.
