I got to have a shot and it isn't too bad.

The handbrake does appear to have resistance when nearing the end of its travel so I guess the cables haven't snapped.

After some reading it would appear that it could be seized cables, seized bit at the caliper or anything else it feels like being!

Only a proper look will give us the information required. When that will happen I'm not sure yet.

The clutch bite is at the very top of the travel which will be great for speedy gear changes.

The accelerator pedal has a fair bit of resistance, this will likely get ignored.

The ride is not magic carpet. Probably a bit worse than Neil's GSA but again nothing that needs done yet. There is a button by the height adjuster, with this pressed the ride is quite a bit firmer so this will be left in comfort mode.

All four tyres have plenty of tread.

The car starts and stops fine.

Apart from the handbrake there is nothing that needs sorted straight away.

Luckily Chuck doesn't drive during too many busy periods so the handbrake isn't as big an issue.

Massive thanks to aldo135 for responding to random questions via messenger.

This is brilliant, was worried I'd be driving it back south again next weekend! Thanks again to LP for driving it towards its new home, and to Tickman for his brokering skills! Good luck with it stereotype there's a great car under those annoying faults. I did ask the kids about a name for the car, you'll wish I didn't bother... 9 year old suggested "Bobby" while the twins think it should be called "Gravy" I think a long week of school after last weekends exploits have made them delirious!!! Oldest does like your Wilder suggestion though

Gravy suits it:)

Tickman: *points to pile of parts in his shed*

Tickman: "what's all that?"

Stereotype:" It's all Gravy"

I've heard of land yachts.

Is this a Gravy boat?

Surely will win Bisto in class at the next BIG FRENCH CAR SHOW.

I had to change the subject rather than explain to them why I was laughing at Boaby gravy
