Yes, i washed AND degreased it

This is my everyday commuter bike, bought last summer with a knackered engine ( hit from the side and bent the crank)

It needed a new battery and a bigger front sprocket ( doing a winter rally soon and it was revving its tits off at 80) so i thought i would.treat it to a wash - first time since i started riding it!

Nice colours , sort of Kenny Roberts , my biking days are done but there was a time I was desperate for a XJR 1300 in Kenny Roberts yellowpost-20755-0-68056500-1546724772_thumb.jpg

My MZ is still drenched in its winter coating of thick oil and grease,I don't wash it till the spring, and invariably its mint underneath, does mean it looks especially shit at the moment though! The Dragon is on my bucket list, once again I faffed around this year and never got round to getting a ticket, take lots of pics!

The Owd Giffer used to do the Dragon and the Elefant in the late 50s and early/mid 60s (before I happened along, essentially!) on a series of Triumph twins, with and without the chair for the Mothership.

A small (used to be...) green Metzeler pachyderm mascot has travelled with him in every car he's had since.  He was impressed that the bloke who sold him the Qashqai recently knew exactly what it was.

I like this Fazer, I hated it when it came out because it was so different to anything else but it was a ground breaking machine.. Sadly the bikes ever since have been more style over practicality, pretenders if you like.. I am a Yamaha man, I have had Hondas but nothing else.. I stopped looking around at other manufacturers after I rebuilt a XS500c ( 10 valve twin ), the parts were rare but the technology involved in designing and building it was mind blowing for a 1977 bike. Engine was powerful, gearbox was sweat but mixed with a 1970s steel frame and twin shock drinking straw suspension the ride was horrific but it made me realise how far modern bikes have come in a short time..

I tried to rent a Fazer back in the day. Some cockwomble hadn't returned it in time so I took a SV650S for the weekend.

Never did get to try a Fazer and when I looking to buy another bike for work got a SV650.

Come to think of it, I've never owned a Yamaha...Came close to buying a brand new YB100 as I couldn't afford the extra for a RXS100, but had plenty of Kawasakis, Suzukis, Hondas and MZs.

I wanted a middleweight commuter bike that could also do a bit of cruising on. Facebook said get a fazer. Im more than happy with it. Very chuckable, engines a bit revvy but it is only a 6
