*PORSCHE 911 CONTENT* Bit of assistance/help requested in identifying/selling these parts?

Hi chaps and chapettes, I wonder if anyone can help with this?

 

These were left in our unit share from someone who thought it was ok to pretty much strip everything out to the point of removing sockets off the wall dangerously, screw's from bits of wood holding stairs up and he's even stolen money/tools from people who helped him out when he really needed it. He even tried to charge one guy £50 to park his car outside for a month while HE drove around in it.

 

For some reason unknown to us, he failed to take these bits with him, even though they weren't his (now any of the other Porsche bits) in the first place.

 

They will be fully receipted etc, no issues there.

 

So from what we can gather they are from a Porsche 911 race car but they have a sloped front and pop up style headlights?

 

I forget the name of the model but I believe it was popular in America?

 

EDIT it's a "slant nose".

 

We have all the outside parts (front/rear wings/bumpers) but they look like they've been raced so are far from perfect condition but they're certainly not in bad order.

 

eBay UK yeilds no results but eBay USA shows them worth ££££ or $$$$, however I very much doubt this will transgress to the sort of money they want.

 

Any suggestions where or who maybe interested in them would be great.

 

Obviously we have eBay but I'd rather not deal with idiots from the Porsche owners club tell me they're only worth £0.50p because they didn't take place in the Porsche cup race 1993 etc etc.

 

I will attach the phots accordingly.

 

All funds raised will go to our garage community but I'm sure if someone on here puts us onto a good lead they/the forum will be rewarded.

Looks like they could be off a 911 Turbo SE that was raced in 94 by a guy called Gavin Mortimer, might be worth tracking the current owner down , can't imagine they're worth much to anyone else.

Seems odd that the bits aren't damaged, usually a racer would only have panels removed if they were completely knackered, unless it was put back to proper 911 shape wings or stripped and the i d used on a road car , which is quite common and you're probably better not getting involved in that can of worms. All total conjecture of course , but might be worth removing the decals.

I’m impressed Washburn guitars had the money to slosh around sponsoring 911’s in the 90’s.

 

Did the race teams not have spare panels all made up ready to hit swap if there was a crash ? It might explain their existence .

 

There’s big money in these now especially in the states .

Looks like they maybe the exact same parts.

They're metal also and not in bad order at all.

930 was the factory designation for all 3.0 and 3.3 Turbos, ie 1975 until the 964 came along( 1990?) .

 

The 935 was the sloping front racer that the slant nose look was modelled on, it was a very expensive special build option only available on Turbo's during the 80's . Most, as suggested are in the US.
