Aye, I think it looks like the Jag is going which is probably the best solution for now. After all its by far the biggest car taking up the most room ;)

I'm gonna crack on with the GT6 to get as much done on it to get it in a saleable condition in the next couple of months and then bosh it up for sale.

I'll use the Visa and the 944 on daily duties for a bit.

All in all it looks like a good solution.

Once the Jag has its MOT in May its fate can be decided.

This, whilst you'd rather work on the imp you would be best advised to make the GT6 as profitable as possible. Which unfortunately means getting it as close to finished as you can.

If it's solid and driving it's worth lots.

The danger is you may do all of this and not want to sell it. Which isn't terrible either.

By fer now. Ta to OhDearMe for helping out and selflessly* taking this for a bit.

Rather embarrassingly the oil was a little low when I pulled the dipstick. He also offered to take it before I changed the front brake pads which are probably nubs by now, so he's getting the full 'buying a car from Hillmanimp' experience.

I 'think' the wheel nuts are done up though as they didn't fall off when I fucking hooned it into work this morning, so he's got that going for him.

Normally all my cars go to Volksy but he loves his Honda Jazz these days so I've passed the experience to someone else. He regularly rings me up to tell me what a GR9 car it is.

GT6s are not just getting advertised for what seems like fantasy money , they're actually making it.

I was at TRGB in Huntingdon last week with FathaN, they renckon nice Mk3 GT6s have overtaken TR6s, mostly because of the rarity ( and the fact they're mostly watertight).

The parts man there had just sold his nice, restored Mk3 for £26,000! And they've got a couple sitting in the yard that they're going to do during the winter.

Especially as an old mental case ( my dad) gave them £18,000 for a LHD TR4 that they were going to convert to RHD, fit an overdrive box and chrome wires to make it saleable to a sane person that doesn't live in France and will only ever go to the village for bloody croissants in.

Hmm.

Love is not a word that I would use in regard to the Jazz.....

I'd love to borrow the Visa and I'm near by but I can't afford the tax and insurance :-( (I know mini violin time)
