Wow, didn't realise how well I rock the beanie.

Just pulled in to Kinross services for a wee wee.

Fog might be the worst weather to drive in, but pishing rain and lots if standing water at night would be a close second.

The volvo is taking it all in its stride. About an hour to go.

A Reading Volvo, must be LEX, Woodley... Bloody long way south for you.. The Hyundai I bought has low mileage but has been registered 5 times to people all over the Country, I wonder how these cars get around ? Are they sold at auction and shipped in numbers ??

This one has come north in the last two weeks, courtesy of Bucketeer, Bramz7 and drum.

Got back about 11pm. The last leg of the journey was all flooded roads and fallen branches which was fun*.

Despite the conditions, the wee Swede got me home safe and sound. While the storm raged outside, I blatted through the elements for over 200 miles, cosseted by the very comfy heated leather seats. Not that I needed to use the seat heaters, the climate control keeping a cosy cabin temperature.

At 17 years old, for some it's too modern to be interesting or so old it's embarrassing. The limbo world that autoshite exists in.

I like it and it cost less than some of my fellow train passengers will be spending on their boozy Newcastle weekend.

The obc reckons an average 32.9 mpg for the trip.

That's the default five cylinder petrol Volvo fuel consumption. I got no better from my lesser powered 2.0 on average.

Well collected. If you want anything to drive thru a storm in, it's a Volvo.

I managed 32.6 on the way to Durham so clearly I've got some way to go to get that extra 0.3 you've managed! I did press the loud pedal a little bit towards the end though....

My 2.5 10v averaged an incredible 34mpg* on the run up from Warrington with the average speed indicator firmly planted quite far up double figures.
