I am off to another country later to collect my latest toy.

Due to financial reasons the available trains were either 6:30 am or 4:07 pm. As I needed to get some rest the afternoon train won.

I shall be with my long suffering better half so fingers crossed for a smooth collection.

I was actively seeking a track car and had decided that it needed to be rear wheel drive then this came up.

Clues are it is not what I was looking at all (I doubt anyone would) but was one of those 'keep coming back to look at it' situations.

No pictures of cigarettes or coffee cups as I partake in neither.

Good luck with the collection - I look forward to seeing what this mysterious new toy can do up at knockers next year :)

You're coming to pick your Volvo up?

Ah no wait, you said track not crap.

Edinburgh has been and gone. This fast train is far from fast at the moment though.

Yeah, the Volvo...

As I said earlier one requirement was rear wheel drive so this is certainly not rear wheel drive!

The poor lad that got on in Edinburgh and was on the phone all the way to Dunbar has a very difficult life. He asked a girl out for a drink, got dressed up and even wore his good watch. Unfortunately for him the girl was just meeting up as friends even though it was a Saturday night. How could she have missed those signs!

Poor lad was so embarrassed but everyone in the carriage got to hear the story and he hasn't got a clue.

Will you be using the a68 to return ? It's a cracking road if the weather is decent, especially the bit as you cross the border - put on your finest brave pants and give it the berries down this section :)

Watch out for the speed camera at the bottom though :(

North of Newcastle there is one fixed camera just after it goes to single carriageway, then a camera at Purdy Lodge, one at the Beal/Holy Island turnoff, and one on the bypass at Berwick - everywhere else is basically whatever speed you feel like doing.

North of the border there's a camera every couple of miles but they're all signposted and visible from a distance.

I've worked in a bar down Bigg Market for my sins...

and survived to tell the tale ? impressive stuff ! which one, just out of curiosity ? our usual pub crawl as teenagers would involve presidents, balmaras, the one below the pig and whistle, maceys, back up to idols, then over to some dodgy club either the studio or maddisons (it was a few years ago)

PopWorld. I lived down there for eleven years and held any number of bar jobs in my late teens/early twenties...
