I haven't had a chance to read the replies yet so he could be a wind up merchant.I'm being told of someone even worse on another forum who is DEFO 4 REEL though, more news on that once I get time to investigate.

I used to work with a lad who clamped his rear springs with Jubilee clips to lower it slightly, when the vehicle was on a ramp you could just lift out the rear springs needless to say although he wasn't a mechanic we were working in a garage so he had the piss ripped out of him big time.

The top leaf of one of the rear springs on my lowrider snapped whilst at RTTS down in Newquay once. Worst of all it snapped ahead of the axle meaning instant rear wheel steering. A could of pairs of mole grips and about 50 large cable ties held it together just fine for the 210 mile journey home

Yes you must, given the amount of stick he got over there!

 Even I can't defend the indefensible. Trust me there's worse to come from another Vauxhall owner, just waiting for the link and I'll post it up.

That site used to be really good, but loads of txt typing chavs appeared. :(Does anyone remember the miffed admin that redirected everyone to gay porn on there a couple of years ago? lolzol

Jesus, imagine the electric bill for all that!Is that Chavtastic/Nemesis in the last one?

The airbox one was done in response to another poster. He genuinely claimed that by fitting a bigger inlet pip and advancing his timing by 2mm, his 1.4 Astra would do 120mph

No mate it's Wayne I think. Nemesis (Ben) hasn't been quiet though and is still entertaining people elsewhere  Still think it was a sad day when he got a lifetime ban, whatever people thought of him he certainly knew how to light the place up.

Don't understand, so where does the olive oil come in to it? Does it help? Should I be dousing my air filter with it? Am I making the mistake of putting it in the diesel tank instead of the air filter?

That chavtastic lad is a right little twat, he stitched my mate out of £250. If I ever met him i'd cheerfully boot him in the stones until they were pulped, however i just have to hope that someone else will do it for me.

Found it http://pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.as ... &mid=46688 and http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewt ... 977&page=2 Sadly the photos have gone so you can't see the filler he put inside his airbox to create a smoother airflow. You can see his electrical skillz though

The electrical episode was one of my favourite ever internet threads. He got a bit shirty on another forum and said his uncle owned an inflatable boxing ring and he would meet anyone who 'dissed' him and leather them  He got quite a few offers from what I remember but didn't take any of them up, then just disappeared off the face of the interwebz.

Love the idea of robbing a passing hedge for the raw materials for the bodge 8)
