Pics from my local drive-in

I live in a small city (called Mound) and I promised as penance for pulling another German car out of a field, to try and get more aquatinted with the local flavor of things and report back...

I dropped over with Rubarb jnr as we had to drop by the local shop for jnrs homework project.

A very varied collection (including another one of those damn German cars - a rare softback Targa).

So did I have my head turned?

Yep!

But I still like my little project sitting in the garage, waiting for me to get more time.

Not sure what my favorite was, but I must confess, even the soft windowed targa 911 was wildly overshadowed by some of the great cars there.

Hope there is something in this little lot you like. It’s sure an arse ache uploading the pics one at a time! :D

Nice!

Liked despite the German and jap crap.

Thanks for sharing, those pics are great.

I could only name about three of the cars, because American, but I enjoy looking at them all the same.

Late summer North American evening, drive in, 50s, 60s tin and some damned imports.   Perfect.  Thanks indeed for sharing....

/\ I think they'll be Ardun hemi ohv heads (if real) made for Ford flathead trucks I believe. Which lead on to the Dodge hemi iirc.

I love that Fairlane Wagon and the Riviera.. Oh and the 32 4dr and the AMX and loads more to boot. Thanks for posting  :-D

Some gorgeous motors there!

What's with the half a steering wheel on that Plymouth? Optional extra or is that a 'thing' over there?

Thanks everyone. :)

I can only name a couple... there’s a Porsche 912, an MGB and a Mustang or two.... ha ha after that I have to rely on reading the badges (mostly) :D

The lady in the last but one shot (holding the beer and driving the white mustang notchback) offered to let me take some more ‘professional’ photos... :D

I ran away scared!
