in my day A/S/L meant something very different

Indubitably, assuming you're talking about ASL Airflow Limited, one-time manufacturer and purveyor of household goods and gardening implements?  😉

been a few days, but got my brother in hand and we tackled REV's exhaust, the old exhaust came off really easily

but getting the new one on was a massive fucking palaver, but after putting it on and taking it off several times (including my brother taking an exhaust to the face) combined with sanding smoother one of the down pipes beating seven bells out the exhaust it with a rubber mallet we managed to finally get it seated far along the down pipes that we where then able to get the U bolts through the top mounting flange brackets and actually get everything secured

curiously it was the left side that put up the biggest fight getting it slid far enough on its down pipe (it would go 99% of the way there but not the last 1%) which is interesting because it was the left side that cracked on the 2 old heat exchangers, ill be keeping an eye on that!

did get there in the end tho! fingers crossed its gas tight now! we didn't actually fire REV up, my brother was happy to push her in and out of her spot, so I dont know how things sound yet, but yes, there some lightbulbs im eying up on Facebook market so we will find out soon enough how the new exhaust sounds :)

I also took the opportunity to tighten up the rocker cover bolts, hopefully that will cure those leaks :)
