I hope this gets bought. Looks honest and all the hard work has been done on it. Should prove to be reliable for some time to come. Pretty hassle free and cheap to live with. If I hadn't of bought the 626 I would of had this.

Since I've listed it it's developed a problem with the brakes, I've not had chance to look into it properly but the caliper has seized on the drivers side. I had a load of hassle selling it on Bumtree, usual swap it for laptop bollocks, then the problem with the brakes, decided that £130 from the breakers was a hassle free option.

 

The problem with the brakes means you wouldn't get far before the brakes would be smoking. This had initially presented itself as a bit of brake judder, which you can sort out as and when. It became evident the other day that the caliper itself had had it.

Plus its soon to be untaxed and in my way on the drive. Test is out in a few weeks, not August as previously thought.

 

Still bits from it will keep the dream alive for others in need. Ebayed a few of the decent bits already, strangely stuff like the heater control cables are in demand, got £15 on eBay for them. Shared with Transit Connect.

Well, that is a shame. I totally understand why you've done it, and it's your car to do with as you please, but it does seem like a bit of a premature end for a car that could have done someone a good turn.

Happy ending with this, a mate has a similar Focus so were swapping bits across to keep his on the road, so all is well that ends well.
