well, as touted previously i've been looking for an automatic due to crumbly body parts - welllll

Finally happened upon a non ©rusty 2002 Renault Megane Scenic Fidji!!! in 1600 16v flavour :o

no real Kollekshun kapers, as it was about 5 minutes away!!

needless to say , the interior is minging..central clock display doesn't work..BUT - everythingelse appears to..

But for £300 with MOT till June ,119,000 ish miles its not too bad..quite nippy..for a scenic!!

Good part is , I joined a Scenic group (sorry!!!) and found someone breaking the same model but with dead cow seats, so for the the seats, door cards, and assorted interior bits he's asking £50...Bargain !!!!

some pre acid bath piccies..

The wife had a 2.0ltr auto scenic like that and it would win any traffic light grand Prix.

Just check there is no damp in the footsteps as the drain holes in the front arches get clogged.

Didn't even find the storage bins under the rear seats until the car was off to the scrap man.

It's even got the opening glass hatch, which was quite useful.

yup quite impressed with the storage..you could live in it quite easily LOL

no damp evident...mind you until i get rid of the old interior it'll be hard to tell..... :o

Another Renault you rarely seem to see these days, I have a soft spot for the RX4 which has a natty body kit and a rear boot mounted spare- or is that just a dummy for stylistic purposes?

The last 4WD Megane I saw had been abandoned on a muddy track at the foot of the Long Mynd in Shrops...

Mustard mitt ... It was a bit of a looker

I'd guess its the real spare. Most Renault's of this age have the spare mounted in a cage under the car which no-one ever looks after until they need the spare on the hard shoulder of the M4 at 23:45 in the rain, then find that it no longer wants to release the spare. So with the 4wd system I'd guess there wasn't room under the back for the spare any more.

mines under the boot floor, so win!!!

This has the sealed for life Renault deathbox. In true Autoshite spirit I hope this brings you misery in some way.

does 'sealed for life' mean plastic plugs - or bugger all?

Is it the same death box as the Scenic II?

Mine (ex SiC) was pretty good at 160k

I was overtaken on the way to work up the A3 yesterday by one, I'd not seen one for ages and it pleased me in a 'being driven, but not my problem' kind of way. Mild 'Schadenfreude' I think.

It definitely had an actual wheel and tyre in the holder on the back, I could see the tread of the tyre.

Not a bad steer those. I sold a mk 1 version many years back 1.6,16v I think. It was a really nice driving position on it, even the 1.6 was nippy enough, I was impressed (being a ford man at the time) with the lack of rust etc. I'll guess a 2.0l would be very nippy indeed.
