Best estate shite ever made?

That reminds me: I always really liked the look of the AMC Eagle.

(not my pic)

It's like their version of the Subaru 4x4 estates. I have a soft spot for most AMC cars actually. Shame they no longer exist.

...Subaru 4x4 estates...

That reminds me, The Subaru Leone/L Series. An Aussie favourite.

"Scimitar.

Fast, practical.

The high-speed holdall

Move into the 1970s".

I had a poster of this on my bedroom wall as a kid, it stayed up until I moved out in my late teens (I never have liked change....)

Had to get the Doc one night as I went down with an agonising kidney stone.  He had just bought a GTE, noticed the poster and stayed with me chatting about it until the pain-killers kicked in.   Never too ill to talk cars, me.....

Miami 2000E pictured on national "Let's-All-Walk-Backwards-Day".

These really should have had a split-level tailgate like a Range Rover. Or a side-hinged one.

And pillarless doors.

I love wagons and have had a few but this is the first one, bought by me way back in 1977 when wagons were not cool. A '58 Chevy Yeoman 2-door, cost me 130 English pounds. I sold the six pot and three speed for 30 quid as it needed, to me anyway, a V8. I never really got anything done to it although I slowly acquired parts such as an NOS front wing but in the end it had to go. It now resides in Finland and has a 350ci SBC & Turbo 350 box, grey leather interior, big chromey mags, air ride suspension, disc brakes and stuff. I would have it back in a heartbeat. I apologise for the poor pics when I owned it but they were taken 40 years ago with a crap camera. I also apologise for a much younger me appearing as well as my bubble arched Anglia and F-type Victor.

Another cherished example.

These had a reputation for problems with the rear bushes.
