Very true. Either works for me, no money is changing hands so I can either take it to work with me and meet you in Marlow or leave it in the garden in thame! Daz, you going to the powerhouse thing?

Depends on date. I'm still confused as to what's occuring!

Your going to an event, congratulations! And picking something up that I'm giving you along the way.

Depending on where everyone is meeting on Friday morning I may still swing by and give it to you in person. It's all a bit up in the air atm, and I'm trying to avoid zig zagging the country!

SVM seem to be meeting at Tebay, might be a place to meet.

Just a thought, we could use the Northern Powerhouse meeting point about 15 miles SE of Manchester? It's not the most northerly but has Travelodge, a Wetherspoons etc.

I'm up for staying somewhere Thursday night! Would like to go to Tebay as well! Maybe I should drive to yours Thursday morning Max and we go from there!

You can still camp at mine Sam. I'm 35 miles ish if beautiful country roads from ghostys pad

I don't have camping facilities! Gonna have the roofers in that week too.

I'm hoping we will all sleep a bit more north than Manchester! Could probably go to yours, have a cuppa then on to elsewhere though. Will see what plans out!

Hmmmmm. So we want to be up Aberdeen for mid-late Friday? I'd say aim for the Scottish borders late Thursday if that's true. It makes no difference to me anyway but I'd like to be up early as it's all part of the fun for me.

Sounds like I'm going to be running round a lot in the week before though - I've got a car to inspect, service and clean up in six days before!

Who's interested in a convoy Thurs/Fri then?

If I had a spare day to get to Shitefest say leaving from Glasgow. I would take a totally crazy and impractical route (surely the A.S. way?) as detailed below. Very scenic in bits 8)

I don't think I've ever done 1200 miles in one weekend before... May pussy out of the extra bit in Scotland, not sure really...

I have! More than once...

Both times were in that Xantia I had, actually.

The extra part will be well worth it, there's not a great deal of scenery up that East coast section.

I'll be working in Balloch on the Friday so may well do just that route and camp en route.

I mentioned it to my girlfriend who was quite confused about me wanting to camp in a field with a load of folk I don't know on the basis of a common love of ropey old cars.

That's where biker birds win, they respond with 'sounds like a rally, let's go' :)

My lass said the same last year

She’s now looking forward to this year more than me I think.

That's because last year you didn't have to a-frame your own car with something you won, nor drive hundreds of miles in it!

Always this year though... (probably, not heard of a shitefest roffle, I'm sure w2 will have 4 or 5 cars to get rid of by then

Not heard of a Shitefest roffle?! The very person you're talking to ended up with a Lada through one at a Shitefest you were at, and A framed it home!

Ruffgeezer also roffled a box of tat at last year's SF.
