I seem to think  there was a north west meet a while ago

does this still happen? or did they fade out?

Yeah, but Glossop?  Glossop?

Could it get any further southeast from where I am and still call itself northwest?  We're looking at a minimum three-hours drive each way from the Lakes.  Hell, it takes me 45 minutes just to get to the motorway!  Now the Lakeland Motor Museum (excellently signposted all the way along the A590) is a mere 25 minutes from me, assuming light traffic.  It has a cafe (vastly overpriced) and plenty of free parking during opening hours.  We could have a meet there any Saturday morning from 11am, just let me know if you fancy it.

Evening meets are out anyway for me, owing to 5am alarm Monday to Saturday.  There's something I could go to in Lancaster if I could sleep later, but without the 5am alarm, there'd be no income to get me there.  Even that would be over an hour each way.

Meh... large numbers of people intimidate me anyway, I much prefer to limit contact to small groups.
