No idea if there will be much interest in these are they aren't modern or cheap any more and I'm no Mr_Wrobbler when it comes to movie making but i had a free afternoon for a change so decided to get both my Dolomite and Rover out together for a change.

They make a nice pair don't they?. I'm not one for talking in front of a camera but having seen Ian's attempts i thought how hard can it be?. Well it turns out pretty hard to be honest!, I didn't realise that my phone picks all the surrounding noise and wind except from what I'm actually saying so it's not great.

So from the top of a office Multi story car park comes Trigs crap car reviews!

It must be good as 4 people have already disliked it...  :-(

I've also done one for the Rover, I'll upload that in a few secs...

Right and here's the Rover, thankfully you can't see the blue smoke from the valve stem seals but you can hear the engine and see that dash all lit up!.

Your Dolomite has changed my opinion of the square lighted ones. I still prefer the round lights, but on the all black of yours, it looks excellent.

Do you store both in a garage?

That'll be the wind noise. People will forgive slightly sub-par video quality but audio quality not so much. Not my words, that's paraphrased from the founder of a very successful online media production company. Other that that I liked them, don't be afraid to reshoot them in a better location/weather.

Yes I've seen that said before. People will excuse or not be bothered by bad quality footage, but will not tolerate bad quality audio.

Can't watch the vids just now as we're watching Strictly, but wind noise is the number one enemy in this game. It's what's probably going to tip me into getting a proper mic with a fluffy wind deflector thing on it.

I look back on my first video (Nissan LEAF back in 2014) and cringe. I think it gets easier. Just channel Chris Goffey and you'll be fine. Just don't litter any canals with fuses...

Thank you, It's a really nice old thing, I keep it outside under a sheet at the moment which i hate but it's going into my in laws garage for winter tomorrow. I'm half arsely trying to sell it at the moment so i think it's deserves a better home as I'm not using it due to it's size and my growing family.

I didn't even notice the wind when i was recording it, i think my phones microphone must be really sensitive, I'm a bit annoyed about it but c'est la vie.

The problem there is that to us (humans that is) wind noise is just kinda of meh, whatever, but in a microphone it can cause sharp, loud peaks and is often louder than what the microphone is set up to deal with of course drowning out the stuff it is meant to pick up (read: you).

You've done a good job on the Dolly, and the black suits it. Those SE's must be pretty rare now, only ever seen 1 more, and that was at a car show in Leeds years back

Love your cars, they look immaculate on the vids.

I used the subtitles when the wind noise got up.

One question about the sd1, is it a free enough later?post-5582-0-16904500-1508054341_thumb.png
