Guest Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Some classic cars there-and dealers showing new ones too. The only new one I was going to picture would have been a Kia Soul. But it was too awfull to do so.Nice Volvo-with my prefered indicator style Is this against the law-poor animal
STUNO Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 That has never been hot. Look at the exhaust, still pristine.Too Perfect to use
55bloke Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Some truly lovely cars there. You can see why Mk 2 Cortina 1600Es are so saught-after, they just look so right! Think the pale green Consul Capri has been posted before- what an absolutely gorgeous thing it is!
Guest Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Arthur and Olive from on the buses were here Better than the VW Polo harlequin More to follow
FredTransit Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 The P6, what's that all about? Is that each panel in a different stock colour?
Guest Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I love these Wolseley 1500/Riley 1.5 series cars-never see them anymore. Thats it.....
Gompo Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Bronze SD1 looks class.Orange Mk1 Escort looks stunning, and I'm not an orange fan.
dollywobbler Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 That P6 is remarkable and well worth a second look. The driver's side is very early - note the early Series 1 taillight that side and then look at the front - the grille is split between Series 1 and 2, but so is the bonnet!! There's a lot of clever work gone into that.
Mash Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I agree, I've seen the P6 a few times and it's always raised a smile. Clever stuff indeed, and so easy to do with everything bolting on.
seth Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Great photos. Is that first SD1 really a four cylinder car with Vitesse spoilers! I like the look of the ice cream van in the background of the white Mini shot
King Maz Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Oh poop, I wished I'd remembered this was on, I'd have tried to sneak up in King Maz.
dollywobbler Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I agree, I've seen the P6 a few times and it's always raised a smile. Clever stuff indeed, and so easy to do with everything bolting on.Ah, but it's cleverer than that. The bonnet is two welded together - or at least with the square bonnet hump welded into an earlier one. The grille is two different ones brought together. Even the over-riders are different!
Rusty Pelican Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Great piccys , the red Vauxhall is in superb condition especially as these really were water soluble , also looks like the jag is resposible for the demise of the worlds rain forests all on its own.
michiel Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I 'heart' old Bristols. Hey look, an Isuzu Minx!
Mash Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I 'heart' old Bristols. Hey look, an Isuzu Minx! That's rather nice and originally sold in Hull so of interest to me. The father of an old friend of mine had three small garages in the city in the 50s and 60s and had a Rootes franchise so it could conceivably be one supplied by him.
Guest Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Lotus excelLancia delta/and astra have been on here before in 2007-these pics were today.Delta's been parked up since it was 2 years old and has only done 4.500 miles Road accident took it off the road-further accident breaking owners neck stopped rebuild.
michiel Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Don't you just love those awkward 'aerodynamic' 60s hardtops?Good spots!
