Licking 320Touring's Clio - Getting a new* box

Sloth in a bowl

Not the circlip'd in diff causing problems is it? Maybe some play or something. Though that said the circlips generally pop out and you lose drive altogether.

And yeah subframe off job for the box, be careful not to strip the fixings for the bolts in the body that's a total nightmare

Its done some miles since master SIAB picked it up for me, and appears to be at its worst when turning left and under power.

Whether its stripped teeth, or circlip shenanigry I do not know. I do know it has some drive though.

I'll be reading up over the weekend:)

If you decide that this is not worthwhile making the journey North, I would like to relieve you of the responsibility and the Clio of it's engine for a transplant to my Cabby Megane.

Also if you fly then you get the unique* and wonderful* experience of the AirRail link to where I will be parking the car as I am buggered if I am paying to park it at airport prices.

If we had planned this correctly, then Neil could be driving up to Scotland behind the AA man in something that he has just purchased from Cannock.

In a fun twist, this plane is leaving from the same set of gates that I departed from on Vauxhall vectra escapades..

I am in the car currently driving up to Edinburgh with the family. I could have picked it up and brought it North.

Thanks, but think it is unlikely to take a drive up the road..

320 touring is somewhere dodging trucks on the northbound side of the M6

We (320 touring, Chaseracer, myself) had breakfast at the Trucker's rest and a look around Cannock auctions (complete lack of decent chod) before the departure.

As an SOS has not been received on WhatsApp then I am believing that all is well*

*not totally fucked yet

I was greeted by tame shiter Sloth in a Bowl for onwards conveyance.

But not before I got a pic of the spectacular roof

Then to the only appropriate veehickle for such a collection

And out into the wilds of the Midlands

At this point, young Mr Chaseracer arrived with the key..

Once it was established that it unlocked remotely and started happily off the key, we got down to the SRS BIZZNIZ.
