1970 gives me some good options, but happily one of my favouritest-ever cars was launched that year so it would have to be a Manta A:

OK, my old one wasn't a '70 but it's pretty much the exact spec I'd have again. The black on mine was non-standard, my ideal would probably be metallic blue. I gave up trying to find an image of an unmessed one with the right combination of colour and wheels.

 

I did briefly consider Mk3 Cortina or Avenger, and 1970 was a bit of a sweet-spot in American cars as it gives me full-size land yachts before they started fitting horrible bumpers.

 

Nothing Japanese? My 1200 was launched in 1970 and some good stuff was certainly available then, but unfortunately I'm a bit too old to choose anything from the mid-late '70s period that really interests me.
