Think it will read GTS Injection on the C pillar. Good cars, were everywhere 30 years ago.

Engine would do well in the £100 Fuego instead of the wee toy turbo motor.

Low mileage at last MOT, which was, given the state it's in, only in 2014. And it's not an automatic....

Mixed memories of these.

 

Positive: A senior manager in a firm I used to work for in the 90's had one (company car) and was happy to loan it out to us hooligan engineers - think it was the top spec one, had a ball ragging the ass off it, went really well for a barge. Epic sounding horns, very Gallic. (If they are going to break it - I'll buy the horns!!)

 

Negative: Was the car I had the most frightening taxi (or any other) journey of my life in. Between Nice and St.Trop to pick up the yacht we were working on. Fuck me, never again, I'd rather walk. 

 

Typical story of a big French car, loads around one minute then a year or so later, all seem gone.

That's a TXE the TXI was a 2.2 multivalve,i still have all my rare 25 brochures etc including limo items kept the lot when I sold my V6 Turbo.

Might elbow them if I find a 25 fan!

I may have to bow to your superior knowledge, but wasnt the 2.0 available as 8 or 12 valve? the 2.2 iirc was also an 8 vlave. My j plate txi was a 2.0 multi valve auto, i also have my eye on a 21 2.0 multivlave.....

The turbo will require some expensive reconditioning, having sat for all these years and the two litre aluminium engine is a good one.

The rest of the car could yield some valuable stuff needed for the V6 Baccara one of you guys are going to buy off eBay.
