It's almost as if the whole Lake District was on a different planet!

Actually it might as well be.  Here in the bottom-left corner does feel pretty remote sometimes.

So are the Highlands and the Outer Hebrides, I guess, but for others Birmingham isn't far away enough from Truro.

If anyone has something to add/subtract from my lose list that merely is a lose suggestion, then please go ahead and do so.

I have space for an additional 2 vehicles ( cars) but have a wife who looks like this when I suggest getting some old rammel to tinker with:

I can at least hide mopeds/bikes in the sheds...

I have space for 10 cars, I only have 2 and I'm happy with that.

I'm Horley, Crawley etc

Have 0 storage space and want to buy a unit somewhere localish as I'm fed up with working in the drive.

Idle end-of-year mithering leads me to ponder shite storage as an alternative to giving my hard earned to messrs Grabbit & Runne, purveyors of shite pension investment to the gullible; thanks to the amazing* performance of the Scottish economy there do seem to be more than a few commercial/light industrial units in/around Glasgow that wouldn't be unpossible to contemplate a mortgage for.

What is an appropriate shite storage tariff? Lock-ups seem to be either expensive(to me anyway) private lets of £80 or more per month or if you are eligible for a Glasgow Housing Assoc. one a rather more reasonable £22/m. How much more is space to swing a cat and access to power/light etc worth? At least with the GHA lock-ups they stipulate storage rather than use for maintenance/repair as well as being without a power supply, although how they police that is unclear.

I have garage space for three and a drive for maybe four.

At the moment, we have two daily, one complete project and a running toy car.

Wife's daily 'has' to get a garage stall. My Atom would die if it lived outside and the project would rust faster than I can weld - so they both get the 'heated' garage. That means my daily is always frozen in winter (covered in snow) and melting in summer!

Time for a car lift I think! Just need to save some money for one!

I have space to store a couple cars and a covered garage space with electric, water and light. Might be a bit far from Basingstoke though.
