Ford e93a gearbox. Anyone got one?

I have one in my front room as an ornament which, with their poor choice of ratios, is what they're best for. Anyway I cut a few holes in it so its even leakier now. Use a Morris 8 4 speed, much better.

Just out of interest, how much surgery is required to use the Morris 8 box?

I offered a Morris box to the Ford engine and I think there was just a dowel needed moving for it to mate up. The Morris 8 motor is very similar to a Ford 8 so its no surprise. The reason I didn't pursue the union was that I came to my senses and abandoned the Ford special I was building- no disrespect to the small Fords, but there's not much special about them, their biggest virtue being very low original purchase price. Everyone should experience the way a car with only one leaf spring front and rear handles once in their life. Similarly the model T is the most bizarre thing I've ever driven.

I agree, I drove a Pop of this type once, about 1979.  It made my Anglia 1200 Super feel like a Formula Ford!

There's one on ebay I think, I was looking the other day.

Anyone put an Austin Seven box on a side valve Ford? That's my plan but I have no idea how you go about doing it, obviously
