Well I have a new car alongside my 81 KE70!!

This is my New (old) 1985 Z31 turbo manual that I found on the PH Classifieds and picked up last week!

I fancied something fast, old, Jap, RWD and different and this ticks the boxes!!! I missed the performance close to my S14 but I didnt want to break the bank or have the same car again!

Its got 56000 on the clock, loads of history and MOT, clean and tidy for its age and perfect for the summer!

I spent 4 hours driving it back home and it didnt miss a beat! Not bad on fuel either really!

Im probably gonna get it to stage 1, with a few small styling mods and then just enjoy it over the summer with the roof off.............. Avators at the ready LOL

Anyway heres the pics of when I first got it...............................

Well I randomly had my car on the rolling road for a power run as I know some peeps there!!

The car standard and new 23 years ago should have a book figure of 228bhp and 242 lb·ft

My Car, 23 years old and still standard with 56000 on the clock (before I fitted the filter)............

Happy with that :D

Cracking - I do prefer the prefacelift rear end. Great to find one that's not rusted to death.

I too prefer the Prefacelift rear lolThe Facelift is a bit too 90s whereas the Pre is totally 80s pimping!! 8) Its got a few little bits that need doing but it is in very very good nick considering they were all rot-boxes LOL

I also prefer the pre-facelift. It looks great, please don't do anything to it!There are a couple of these round my way. I used to love these, they disappeared quickly though.

That's really nice, definitely prefer the early ones. The interior is lovely.Nice one uncle 8)

Nice looking car. The garage I once worked for had one in the same colour but it was an auto. I remember a new exhaust was stupidly expensive so we ended up making one for it to get it through it's MOT. I drove it quite a bit.Plymouth photos bring back memories I lived there (in Whitleigh) from 1991 to 1995 :D

Fuck-me-butler thats nice, I used to walk past one of these on the way to school in about 1986 and I always used to check it out-still think about it all these years later. Def prefer the pre-facelift rear lights, the later ones remind me of the 1980s face-lifted Alfa Romeo Spider.I'll be in Plymouth in two weeks time and no doubt will wander down to Halfords so I can check it out if you dare take it to work. You have the Official Shite Meister Seal of Approval, I likey!

And who do I ask for? last time I popped in there and asked for you without knowing your name I had some idiot kid-boy who had the brain matter of a dog turd (hope that wasn't you was it? lol :lol::lol:)Funnily enough the Halfords at Aberwryswyth seemed to be staffed by Vicky Pollards who had excelled at being 'miserable cunts' and thats not language I use lightly.

It's like the pre and post facelift Renault Alpine. The post looks a bit poo-ey and plasticy, the original looks awesome.

Ive been having a play today and going through some of my spare "drifty" wheels I had on my S14 and seeing what they would look like on the Zed!

Heres my pride and Joy Volk GT-N Split rims..........

And my spare set of Rays Versus rims............

Ive also got a set of TSW Imolas but they dont compare to the other 2 sets lol

Im gonna keep the 3 sets including the standard 16s and im hoping to get them referbed at somepoint! I can have a different look whenever I want then LOL

What do u think??

Loving that and agree with all that has been said, pre-facelift is far nicer.Prefer those 5 spoke rims if you are changing them. How much was it by the way?

Looks a nice one. I’d like one of these some day, non-turbo would do me fine, even an auto. Had the V6 engine in lower-powered tune in my 300Cs, lovely.I’d struggle to know what wheels would look better on it than the standard ones. I don’t think they suit a particularly ‘open’ style; ‘80s aero-look rims of some sort might be good? Got a 1:24 Z31 kit to build at some point and it’s got me stumped on that.

I know what you mean and i do like the standard wheels but I wanna give it a bit of a different look without ruining the bodywork! I like making a car my own! :D Im just going throught the rims i already have as i dont wanna spend more than i have to!!

OK OK Ive been a bit slack on working on this car as Ive been spending most of my time on my Corolla lately!!

Ive got the lowering springs re-coated in silver (they were in a rite state) and and trying to sort my spacers so i can fit the 17s.

Ive also cleaned the car up a lot and got it looking much tidyer 8)

Thats it for updates so far but i did do a little photoshoot with it last night using my new Canon 400D Camera and my Photographer mates Studio Lighting.............. More soon hopefully.................

Love it and a real bargain too !! I think the Rays wheels look best out of the two 8)

Lovely car, of the non standard wheels the 'Rays' ones look much better, very 1980s. I presume with a name like 'Rays' they are Japanese?
