I've just rang the wife, turns out i meant to call it Anbesol teething gel, don't know where i got anus from.

Anusol is a hemorrhoid cream, Quite a suitable name don't you think!

*Apologies for being off topic, I also hate lines of identical cars at shows, I think mustangs need to be banned!

I'm a Ford licker and always have been, mainly old ones, but single make shows can be quite tedious.  I forget which one it was now at Santa Pod last year, Ford Fest?  It was basically a sea of Focus and Fiesta ST's all arranged by colour for row after row after row.  Classic Ford tends to have a bit more variety but again there are only so many Escort Mk2s with zetecs that you can get excited over.

I might go to retro show this weekend because its open to all comers and I do like to see a bit of BL chod in the mix.

Some nice stuff there. I would love to go to a random show/fair/rally somewhere slightly outside my local area one day, so I could get to see a few new things. Can't see it happening for a while yet, will just have to make do with reports like this.......

The Stags on the Ipswich-Felixstowe Run are somewhat annoying. One or two in isolation are fine, and I do concede they sound nice. They all seem to be driven by people of A Certain Age who I imagine to be called Geoff or Roger and their wives are Sue or perhaps Gill.

I'll be at the Retro Show in the Dolomite, come and say hi!

Are you camping or just daytripping?  I usually do a circuit of the campsite with a few beers on the Saturday afternoon, annoying owners with inane questions about their cars as I go...i'll keep an eye out.

Yep I'll be camping it up, I've not camped there before so i don't really know what to expect apart the miserly of having to sleep in a damp tent and taking a shit in a bucket.

Father Trigger also took my old Cortina around the parade, i don't know why he put a fake voice on and made out that he owned the car for 5 years and had done all the work on it, cheeky bastard!.

Well, in previous years camping has been relatively quiet, and then a whole shit ton of people turn up for the day on Sunday morning.  Santa Pod actually have fairly decent facilities now so taking a shit isn't as traumatic as it otherwise might be.

I love that Transit. They must have caked it on with a hawk and trowel. On the wing they haven't even bothered to grind it flush, it looks like they've done the entire job, from a rust hole to painted finished job in about 20 minutes!

Another reason why I avoid SOC one model shows

they can gang up on you about mods and then display their chrome tat laden engines, reflection of which can be seen from the moon,

Last Stag show I did was Bromley 2 years ago and after the facking gridlock - never again. I dropped the car off at the stand and fucked off for most of the day. returned to my car and was nabbed by a CCWeekly journo who chatted and took a piccy for the paper. :D

I'd forgotten how nice your old Mk3 was, Trigger. Bit like when you see a bird you used to work with and think ' I never noticed how fit she was when I saw her every day!'
