I need the secondary air injection pump, I will get a pic and put it up.

On mine it lives next to the rad but in yours it will be by the oil filler cap I think. Ideally It needs to be this type with the elbow on top, there is another variant that just has a hole in the middle but that could be ok if the pipe going into it has an elbow on it but I can't find any pics to confirm that.

Thanks, it's a part of the emissions control crap and doesn't affect the running of the car (it adds fresh air to the exhaust to burn off unbutton fuel on a cold engine) so could have been taken off in the past.

Not got one. It's M43 specific, 316i and 318i only.

 

Not had anything M43 for yonks.

 

Quarry Motors will have loads I'm sure, won't be much.

What sort of racing Simmo?

Its on the oval and called Drift Rods but it is a race, although best drifter also gets a pot.  As you'd expect its all RWD (no Limos Hearses or Yanks) usually BMWs but you see Mercs, Lexus, Volvos and the occasional Granada or MX5.   It's a proper budget formula, a lot of ex contact drivers with crock backs or pissed off neighbours do it. The E36 we built was bought, on track and competitive for less than £200.  It will be my first go at non contact racing and I started in 1979, what could possibly go wrong?

I was in upullit in York yesterday. There must be 50 beemers in the yard for breaking. Some almost complete. Others seriously picked over
