This flying machine went on sale -

After the SD1 Vitesse this was the car I wanted - I would still like one but on a B/C/D reg as there is something about the early ones.

I made a hasty purchase of an F plate Black Turbo after my 2.8 Special got half inched. Unfortunately, within about a week I found out to my cost that the previous owner hadn't put any antifreeze in the radiator hence engine rebuild swiftly followed by recon turbo. Did enjoy driving when it was going although the torque steer was bad. Thought the interior was great.

A mate of mine had a really early one in the mid eighties and I thought it was the ultimate car as it had turbo written down the side of it.

Back in the day it seemed bloody quick and I remember him nearly killing us in it going up a 30 at 90 Mph but apparently the torque steer was horrendous.

But I would rather go for a standard early Efi but only because you could pretend your the knight rider with that zx spectrum type digital dash but if you could of ordered a turbo in black with a digital dash then it would of been real Austin/Rover perfection.

But it would also need a backslash on the back as well for that ultimate look preferably with the word Turbo emblazoned across the rear screen as everyone knows that any 80s turbocharged car must have a minimum of 6 turbo stickers on it or it isn't a real turbo.
