Well this is all a bit late and a bite shit as I'm useless at these things.

Last Saturday I set off from home up here in Scotland Land at 07.30 am to pick up one of my latest purchases. Well sort of pick up I basically took a spare driver to bring the said car back for me instead of doing the A/S thing and driving it back myself

Basically set off in OK weather and travelled 1hr40mins to pick up Kev in Glasgow ( He is a shiter but not sure if he has posted, KBonney )

Set off again at 9.30 after the usual garage pork pie breakfast!!

We briefly paused for a coffee (flask) and a sandwich somewhere, no idea where as this is only the 3rd time I've been across border!

The weather on the way down was torrential to say the least!!!

Finally at the back of 2 in the afternoon we arrived beside the object of desire

Pleasantries were exchanged with the vendor a certain Mr Cavcraft. He had been pretty patient with me waiting on collection and was thoroughly nice meeting you Billy. It was a brief meeting as Billy had a busy day!

Next were the petrol station shots!

Then the long journey home it was about 2.45 in the afternoon and the sat. nav. was telling arrival home would be 7.15 at night. At this point Kev had the 220 and was heading into Wigan on his way up to Glasgow later in the night.

So I was left travelling home alone in the same shitty weather as on the way down.

Not a lot happened the little 25 I was driving coped much better than I thought it would and I could still walk when I got home.

Only real point of interest on way home was being overtaken by this as I was sitting around 75 mph

It did eventually clear up around Penrith? on way home!

Arrived home at 7.30 pm so 12 hour day with roughly 11 hours driving and 650 miles

Ok reason this thread has taken so long to start as I only got my hands on the 220 last night after it spending a week a few miles away in Perth. Don't think Kev wanted to give it up :-P

So far I'm loving driving it. So much more relaxed than 214 which doesn't have power steering either. The wife has banned it from the driveway and 14 year old son mumbled something about never taking it near the school

Took some pictures Today and as you can see it fits in pretty well and as a result of this collection I now have 2 Ex. Bo11ox R8's 8)

Excellent, I did wonder where this had gone. Will you be towing the caravan with it?!

More of a Defender type job might give it a try! Caravan belongs my Brother and usually towed behind a discovery.

I was getting bit concerned about the welfare of the Rover and really happy to see it on it's new adventure. It's a great car and I really enjoyed my time with it, so is it it's now on it's 11th or 12th autoshiter ?

Brilliant! Not even the english rain could dampen the Rovers return.
