richardthestag Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 North American Continent could easily be classed as an island. lots of schlock there
Junkman Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Well, it's not North America, but it's not an English jurisdiction either.
LC Torana Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Is it from the land of cats without tails?

DodgeRover Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Leave on Manx plates for speeding ticket avoidance?
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Not Oirelant, no.It comes indeed from the island being so small and boring that you quickly run out of things to complain about, being told, “There’s a boat in the morning!â€, if you did indeed complain about something, being booked on a boat, then look at the weather forecast, not taking any cash out before getting on the boat, spending English money, only to be given useless change back in return, people living in a place called Ballasalla and not being Australians, the Quarter Bridge, and yes, it will have kippers on board.
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Leave on Manx plates for speeding ticket avoidance? It is on English plates. It won't pass the infamous Manx reg test, hence availability.
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Island west of England Uncle Jimmy, Skizzer, Conrad D. Conelrad and 7 others 10
DodgeRover Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Is it a white Chrysler and on Queensland reg plates?
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 It is a dark blue non Chrysler on English reg plates.
DodgeRover Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Spotted your comment about large capacity Aussie automobiles earlier, there is/ was an Aussie Valiant that's unable to be registered on the IOM (it's still got QLD plates on it but absolutely no other paperwork) I've been wasting my life chasing after Aussie shite for ages and thought I had been beaten to it. Sorry for any confusion - got to say the RHD caddy you posted looks appealing
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 If any big bloody Aussie V8 shite hits these shores for sane money, the Autoshite duel at dawn is on! Sadly, in this case, the provenance of my next shite is decidedly Northern Hemispherical.
Brodders Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Do they have much Yank Shite in Iceland? That's the final place I think you have left on the west of England that hasn't been mentioned. EDIT: Or Greenland?
DodgeRover Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Dunno about sane money anymore they've gone daft. I had the wife had 10k in my hand stuffed into her bag going to look at the last Valiant Charger that came up for sale and it sold before I got there Theres at least a few V8 commodores (prior to them being badged up as VXR's or whatever) kicking about here though. There is/ was a V6 wagon for sale at the moment...they're still unloved.
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Do they have much Yank Shite in Iceland? That's the final place I think you have left on the west of England that hasn't been mentioned. EDIT: Or Greenland? Iceland is awash with yank chod, but A. what makes you believe anything septic is on the way to me?and B. I did already admit that it's coming from the land where Dubbers call their four wheeled abominations "longtaillook".
Junkman Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 It's going to happen tomorrow. I CAN HAZ EGGSITE! Tam, eddyramrod, Dave_Q and 2 others 5
Guest Hooli Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Ticks most boxes I think and you can pretend you're a mid 90's gangster wherever you go. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mercedes-500-sec-1991-J-reg-not-560-or-420-Final-Edition-/232231143805?hash=item36120e097d:g:3e0AAOSw5cNYmH1M and it's close to me, so it could be collected and stashed here for a while if necessary. Promise* not to hoon around in it too much. I don't recall the wheelbase on these being 6" shorter than the gap between the arches.
Richard Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1971-Morris-Oxford-1500-Diesel-/192094902560 Timeless Pininfarina design to match your 405. I've been in one of those. Slightly less unpleasant than the then-newish Mk2 Astra 1.7D I travelled in on the same day, but that's not saying much.

Skizzer Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I seem to have missed the French folly - can a kind soul point me in the general directionhttp://autoshite.com/topic/27022-this-is-the-ggg-speaking-france-an-epik-phail-caution-alternatives-considered/?p=1152054 TL:DR - No matter how over-excited everyone gets, French people don't want the Brits getting their hands on their stuff. Especially not the Austrian Brits. Junkman and pompei 2
